My culinary journey began twenty years ago in a small restaurant in Tallahassee, Florida. Being from the south, eating good has always been a “labor of love.” I picked fruit when I wanted pies, I dug for bait when I wanted fish, and I grated cheese when I wanted mac and cheese.I create my recipes using seasonal, local ingredients and the freshest products.
Today I am working on launching a food blog titled "Carita Belle" My blog is dedicated to those of us who don't believe in a life of omission. I love to eat vegetarian, vegan, gluten free, and paleo meals, but I'm also eating a 3am cheeseburger if the mood strikes me. I want my cake, and to eat it too. My recipes show you that eating "good" foods doesn't need to feel like "diet time." They are a mix of deep fried southern classics, and "eat clean" cuisine.
